Riveting and spell-binding...a superb Hitchcock masterpiece Jimmy Stewart's innocence mixed with the absolute beauty of Grace brings hope to the sinister and dark shadows cast by Raymond. The coupling of Stewart and Grace can only give us the optimistic hope that good will overcome evil -- again and again.

One of the great triumphs of film
Watch this film and you will agree that nearly every side of
humanity is exposed in a way that has hardly been matched in any
film since. I guarantee first time viewers that when you finish
watching this movie your standards for good storytelling will
raise higher than you could ever have imagined. This is one of
those rare things in life that even the most seemingly perfect
words can't describe. Once you see it, you will understand!

Absolutely one of the GREATEST films of all-time.
I have watched this movie countless times as well as most of
Kurosawa's films. This movie is one of my all-time favorites as
well as Yojimbo. Anyone who appreciates great films will love
this one very much. I guarantee it. As the previous reviews say,
the storyline, characters, and acting are superb. "Often
imitated, but never duplicated" is what I would have to say
about this and other Kurosawa films. For those who don't know,
the modern westerns were all based off of Samurai films. The
Magnificent Seven, For a Few Dollars More, and Last Man Standing,
to name a few, are all based off of Kurosawa movies. Buy it and
enjoy!
