Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
The original series crew endeavour to save the Earth from an alien machine lifeform, V'ger, which is destroying everything in its path.
Star Trek 11: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
The original crew are sent on a mission to train a new crew but encounter Khan Noonian Singh who has escaped exile and is seeking revenge on Kirk. Spock is killed in the ensuing battle.
Star Trek 111: The Search for Spock (1984)
The original crew steal the Enterprise and attempt to locate Spock's body in order to re-unite it with its "katra" (spirit). The Enterprise is destroyed in a battle with the Klingons.
Star Trek 1V: The Voyage Home (1986)
The original crew time travel to 20th century Earth in a captured Klingon Bird of Prey in order to save it from the effects of a mysterious alien probe which is vaporising the oceans.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)
Sybok, Spock's half-brother hijacks the Enterprise and the original crew in order to pursue his visions of god at the Galactic Core.
Star Trek V1: The Undiscovered Country (1991)
Kirk and McCoy are wrongly convicted of the assassination of Klingon Chancellor Gorkon while escorting him to a peace conference and must escape and find the real killers.
Star Trek Generation (1994)
The Next Generation crew, together with Kirk, try to stop Dr Soren from destroying a star system in order to gain entry into a timeless place called "The Nexus".
Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
The Next Generation crew battle the Borg who have time travelled back to the 21st century in order to prevent the invention of the warp drive, as part of their plan to conquer and assimilate all races.
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
The Next Generation crew discover that the Son'a have plan to clear a planet of its inhabitants so that can use its fountain of youth energy. The Federation orders Piccard not to interfere but Piccard rebels against the Son'a and the Federation.
